Bobby Lashley was born on July 16, 1976, in Junction City, Kansas, to Clara Lashley. His father, whose whereabouts are not known, was a US Army drill sergeant. His mother was a single parent who didn’t know any English.

Growing up, Lashley lived in a very unstable environment with the family often moving from one military base to another. He has three older sisters, one of whom is employed in the US Air Force.

Lashley had his first daughter, Kyra, in 2005 from a woman whose identity was never revealed. Bobby was in a relationship with the former WWE wrestler Kristal Marshall and the couple together has one son and a daughter.
